Faith, Finance, and the Beloved Community: Gratitude and the Path Forward

Our hearts are overflowing with gratitude for the outpouring of generosity during the 2024-2025 Annual Giving Campaign: One Church, Many Hearts. While we didn't quite reach our pledge goal of $330,000, your dedication and commitment have carried us to significant new heights in supporting our community.

We recognize that this campaign was made possible by countless individuals working tirelessly behind the scenes. Their efforts exemplify the power of our beloved community here at 2U.

The Journey Continues

As the giving campaign concludes, our mission continues. The Finance Committee will soon unveil a draft budget for our congregation's review during the Budget Town Hall on Sunday, May 19, 2024, at 12:15 pm in the Sanctuary. We urge you to mark your calendars and join us for this important conversation.

The Budget Town Hall is your opportunity to gain valuable insights into the financial decisions shaping our congregation's future. It's a space to ask questions, delve into the rationale behind budgetary choices, and ensure that our spending reflects the core values we hold dear. We recognize that this year involved some difficult decisions, and we invite you to explore with us whether those represent the most effective way to move forward.

Reflecting on the Generosity Path

As we embark on this process, let's carry with us the lessons of the Generosity Path. Remember the abundance that surrounds us, the interconnectedness of our community, and the profound impact that even the smallest acts of giving can have. Let's continue to cultivate a spirit of generosity that extends beyond financial pledges – a generosity of time, spirit, and compassion.

We eagerly anticipate your presence and participation at the Budget Town Hall. Together, we will chart a course that honors our faith, ensures financial stewardship, and strengthens the bonds of our beloved community.

With gratitude,

—2U Finance Committee
