Construction Update 7/1/2024

We have some significant updates regarding the ongoing changes at our church, which are important for everyone's safety.

At the east (ramp) entrance, the roof over the door is gone. Remodeling has begun on the inside of that entrance, and it is now closed.

In the Palmer Room, the opening for the elevator has been cut where the first window by the kitchen used to be. Our contractors have erected a false wall to protect the inside of the church from the construction debris and dust outside. The same procedure will occur in the loft on Monday, July 1st, and the opening in the Blue Room will happen soon.

An emergency exit has been cut into the bricks at the top of the RE basement stairs. However, that door hasn't been "cut through" to the inside of the building yet.

The elevator shaft is taking shape. The foundation has been cured, and the cinder block walls are going up beginning today.

Warning: The east side of our building is now a construction site. Please avoid this area. Everyone will be using the west entrance, where electronic lock service has been restored as of 6/26/2024.

We are now in the season of dust as our project continues. Please extend extra grace if our custodial crew doesn't do a perfect job of cleaning our building.
