Celebrating Our Community and Building a Sustainable Future Together
Dear 2U Community,
We are thrilled to share that our community has voted to approve the 2024/2025 budget! This budget reflects our commitment to financial responsibility and sustainability. We've taken a conservative approach, prioritizing essential expenses and anticipating modest revenue. While we project a deficit for the coming fiscal year, we are confident in our ability to navigate this challenge together.
During our Annual Meeting, we made thoughtful adjustments to our budget, thanks to the generosity of Diane Sander, who will be taking on some accounting and bookkeeping responsibilities in-house. We deeply appreciate Diane's time and talent, which allowed us to reallocate funds to crucial areas like repairs and maintenance.
Exploring New Opportunities:
We are always seeking innovative ways to support our shared ministry. The 2U Finance Committee has proposed an exciting partnership with RaiseRight, a fundraising platform that empowers us to earn donations through everyday purchases. RaiseRight provides an online marketplace where you can buy gift cards from popular retailers, and a percentage of each purchase automatically supports our congregation. It's a simple way to turn your daily spending into generosity!
Reflecting on Our Progress:

We are heartened by our recent financial results. May's total revenue increased by 29% compared to April 2024 and 25% compared to last year (May 2023), thanks in large part to a $10,000 increase in pledge revenue. Our net income also exceeded expectations. While we still have one month remaining in this fiscal year, we are optimistic that with your continued generosity, we will be able to meet our pledge commitments and avoid dipping into our cash reserves. This would be a tremendous accomplishment and set a strong foundation for the year ahead.
